Hi,

has anyone some experience with large blobs in HF C/S Databases ?
I develop an application that should be a "exchange-like" system, that means that it stores a lot of email with a lot of attachments. The attachment table will be approximately 2-3 GB.
Is that a problem for HF C/S ???

regards michael

Hi Michael,

there's a special fileproperty 'HugeFile' (in WD10) that can be set for file which will grow above 2 GB. If you set this option, the 2-3 GB won't be a problem.

A binary memo item can contain up to 4 GB.
Look in the help index for 'memo'.
