2024: Sort of items in Analysis is alfabetical

Hi,

maybe, I did not find the correct place to switch ... the analyse's pane shows the items sorted in alfabetical order and not - as from version 7.5 up - in logical order. Is there a hidden switch or is it a simple, uh, issue?

Hello Guenter,

In the earlier versions, when you opened a file in the analysis, there was a "Display" option (just above the type and size columns) with three icons to display the file fields in Alpha, Logical and Physical order. It would be unbelievable if that whole segment has gone missing so maybe it is just defaulting to Alpha in the new version.

Having said that, the IDE has a couple of very odd sorting methods, the most idiotic is in the file element comparison where windows are sorted in case sensitive alpha order !

Just realised that you indicated the problem is in the pane not the file fields. In all my versions it has always been in Alpha order and never in Logical order.

There is a Spanner/Screwdriver icon top right in the Project explorer pane and one of the options in there is to sort the analysis pane by Alpha or Logical.
