USB function to detect drive name

With USBFunction I could get details of USB Vendor, USB Product, USB Rev, USB Serial.

How to get the drive name assigned for the usb attached ?

Hi,

unfortunately, PC Soft did not finish the USB-thing, like others, work stopped about 2/3-way.
However, it is possible to find the drive numbers of USB-sticks only - not USB-harddrives!!
I enclose a small WINDEV project showing how it is done:

If you want a full-blown exploration of the USB drives of a computer then you should look into NirSoft's USBDeview [www.nirsoft.net] which is open source. Perhaps you could either "steal" part of the code or call the program from a WINDEV program and use the content of the table. Good luck!

That's what I was thinking, get the drive name by matching serial number. Your project helped me to finish the work earlier.
