Drawing Functions (ActiveX)

Hi all,

I need to write a program that allows a user to draw on existing images.
kind of like MS Paint. Due to time constraints, I don't know if I can do this
quick enough to allow for programming, testing, deployment.

So, I'm thinking an activeX control would do the trick. Does anyone know
of any reliable controls that will allow the same kind of functions as in
MS Paint (or better).

The main thing is that I need to load an image to the control, allow the user
to draw on it (make notes), etc, and then save.

Thanks!
Georgio

Hi Georgio

A good activex could be Metadraw 3.1 by www.bennet-tec.com.

It allow you to design shapes, hotspots, text, etc etc.. and it is compatible with Windev.

Hope in this help

Hi Georgio,

I think you don't need an ActiveX here, the WLanguage can do that pretty well. You should have a look at the "WD Draw" example, in the "training" example. It's a kind of MS PAINT all made with WinDev.

Hi Pat,

I know, and I've worked with WD Draw, but I need something fast rather than tweeking
it to work for me.

It was almost ideal except for the option that allows you to place text on
the image. Once you place the text, you can't go back to edit.

I know I could tweek it to the way I need but with time ... something I
don't have. sad smiley

Thanks for the suggestion tho'
