What is a fiel with a WRL extension

Got the follwoing error trying to recompile a project that references a WDL library

Unable to create D:\WD Projects\MJCFM4\Project\Exe\MJCFM4Exe.cpl\MJAMES\00000000\MJCFM4Lib\CBaseData.wrl file.


Anyone know what a WRL file is?
