Whilst I've only been the Australian WinDev Distributor for a relatively short period in the overall scheme of things, I am now trying to create an email list to advise developers of contract opportunities, or any other WinDev related matters I believe they could be interested in. I have done this in the Clarion community as the Australian Clarion Distributor for many years with a great deal of success. I don't constantly inundate you with useless information but if you then decide you don't want to receive anything from me I won't take it personally and you just have to return the email with a "Remove Me" in the subject header and I'll filter you out. Over time I'll create more filters so that people who don't want to know about work or contract opportunities can be filtered out of those type of emails and so on.

If any of you reading this are from Australia and who might not be on my list please feel free to contact me to add you to my database. I don't care if you buy via some other Distributor or direct from PC Soft; I just want to be able to better serve the Australian community and to do this I need the numbers.

In the Clarion community I've brought a lot of parties together for various contract opportunities as well as a number of full time positions. I want to be able to do the same with WinDev and/or other PC Soft products.

A current example is a new WinDev user who has the following requirements:
Someone who could work full time alongside them in the development phase 1 and other phases down the track?

He would need someone willing to :
1. Plan the phase
2. Assist him with coding and database design
3. Be patient enough to train him in Windev along the way
4. Full time position

If you are interested in this or know someone who would be then please email me with your expression of interest.

Best Regards,

Hi - my name is John Fligg and I am CEO of Ambrit Software.

We develop Equine software and at the moment have 4 products Barefoot Manager, Dentists Manager, Equine Vet Manager and our flagship Farriers Manager.

I come from a long computing background having worked for several private companies and the UK Government before becoming self employed. Also owning horses has helped me specialize in Equine software.

I have a co-owner of the company, Sandra Norman.

Although based in the UK I emigrated to Florida some time ago but returned to the UK having set up the US side of the business. I revisit on a regular basis where we attend trade shows and seminars. I have been invited in the past to speak at Equine shows about how business software can be applied to the Equine industry.

I have recently been using Clarion. After several years I have come to realize that the product is not really going anywhere and some colleagues and a trial of WinDev has persuaded me that this is the tool for the future.

My aim will be to rewrite my 4 applications which have become monsters so a good opportunity to learn from past mistakes. I have purchased all 3 WinDev products and am looking forward to some fruitful and interesting work and meeting a new community.

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to say Hi.
I am pretty new to WD, coming from Alpha Five.
I am developing applications since the late eighties (shows my age eh ;-)?
Started with DataEase, before switching to A5.

I started out as a professional pilot which still is my main interest (building my own Flight Simulator, a Boeing B747-400 in full scale - go figure about my insanity...)
I live near Basel Switzerland am married to a wonderful wife and two Labrador Retrievers.

Hopefully, I am not going to be a pain in the proverbial back by posing too many stupid questions
So thank you all in advance for bearing with me!

Greetings,

Cascade Consulting was started in 1987 to provide programming services to small businesses in the Bend, OR USA area. We began with RBase applications, and then added Zim development as part of a project for Abbott Labs in Chicago, IL. We next used Zim to develop school breakfast and lunch processing for Bend La Pine school district. This product became our primary business and was supplemented with Free & Reduced Application processing, District Summary and other Nutrition Services applications.

Starting with WinDev version 8, we converted our applications from Zim to WinDev. At that time we added touch screen processing, barcode support, fingerprint identification and many more features due to the great programming environment offered by WinDev. Our products are used in over 120 schools in Oregon.

In 2010 we converted our last Zim application to WinDev: Inventory for school nutrition services. This inventory is specifically designed for the special needs of school districts where some products are warehoused and some go directly to the larger schools. This application includes support for hand held devices used to take inventory at the school level using bar code scanners to read UPC and packaging labels.

Other clients include a wood products machinery distributor, a high tech machine shop, and other developers. We have developed WebDev sites linked to WinDev applications. One of our applications is a specialized contact, document and project management application with links to Visual Manufacturing and QuickBooks.

Our hope is to expand by marketing our school products to other states. However we will need to bring more support and development persons on board to accomplish this goal.

See more about our school products at www.accmeals.com (badly in need of updating). Or contact Connie at 541-504-159 or contact me at 541-350-6542.

Cheers,
