Afternoon all, In light of the current Windev situation, we are also looking at alternatives. Yes it is an unfortunate, but we have to be pragmatic. I have been looking at LANSA. It looks OK. Has anybody else seen it / used it / binned it as being too much to move to? it is quite powerfull and targetted at small developers I quess They talk a bout 10 concurrent users etc ( that is very little users ) but Iam not sure what it all means. They seem to target the people that had a microsoft visual foxpro developmetn. but javascript can be used for scripting very visual . You can even develop simple things without any code

I contacted the Australian Lansa branch and was quoted between A$8,000 to A$10,000 as the initial buy in for Visual Lansa and subscription fees around A$1,600 per year so the cost must depend on the components you require and the country of origin.
If you keep your dongle, the initial buy in for SaaS is A$3,600

For Visual Lansa, the yearly fee is less than Windev on it's own A$1,830 and way less than Windev + Webdev +Mobile A$3,888. I am using the regular PCSoft monthly ransom fees after the end of this month so maybe it could be an affordable solution and worth pursuing further.
